About Us

Welcome to Padstone. We are Patrick Townsend – owner, and Helen Hovenden – Secretary.
We have been providing quality natural stone tiles to the construction trade and general public since 2006 in Rye, East Sussex and the surrounding area. We now also offer porcelain and ceramic tiles.

Our range of stone and porcelain tiles have been selected to create inspirational room designs, traditional or contemporary, unique in colour and pattern.

Padstone’s aim is to provide a reliable, friendly service based on practical knowledge and a passion for tiling. We offer an experienced fitting service and have extensive knowledge in preparation and fitting products that will ensure you have the best materials for your project.

Our showroom is situated 2 minutes from Rye with it’s entrance opposite the Camber turnoff on the A259. We are located with Salts Farm Shop, Beryl’s Café, Garden Gems Garden Centre and The Salon at Salts Farm.

Here you will find sales staff and tile fitters who will assist you through the whole tile selection process.

Our Tiles

We have a large range of natural stone, including: limestone, marble, travertine and slate as well as porcelain and ceramics from suppliers including Full Circle Ceramics, Minoli and Waxman.
We have an extensive range of external porcelain from Global Stone and Spectrum with over 40 varieties displayed in our showroom. Our porcelain range includes wood effect planks, geometrics and glazed ceramics in a range of natural and vivid colours.
We also have an extensive sample bank, allowing you to take home pieces of stone that you like, to match up back at home.

Natural Stone

We have been supplying and fitting natural stone for over 20 years. This versatile material comes in many finishes, sizes and colours and suits properties from the oldest traditional to the modern barn conversion.

Ceramic

Our range of ceramic tiles includes traditional metro tiles through to innovative format hexagons and polished glazed pastel colours reminiscent of the Art Deco period.

Internal Porcelain

For internal porcelain we have chosen a range of diverse colours and patterns from bold geometrics to subtle marble effect tiles, wood effect planks to industrial concrete effect tiles. We have a range of sizes that can create the new minimalist feel in keeping with modern interior design.

External Porcelain

The range of external porcelain is designed for minimum maintenance and maximum effect. These durable contemporary design tiles are built to withstand modern day living and entertaining.

Other Products

We stock adhesive, grout and self levelling compound from Larsen. Sealer & cleaning products from LTP /Ecoprotec. Our comprehensive range of tiling products including construction boards specifically designed for the tiling industry, underfloor heating systems from ThermoSphere and uncoupling membrane from Ditramat. All of these products are used with confidence by our fitting team.
